Primula Vita is a joint, passionate project of the Tertiary Sisters of St. Francis, led by Sister Mirjam Volgger and product developer Michaela Egebrecht. Since 2015, they have been working together with one primary goal in mind: to provide innovative and sustainable solutions for improved health and well-being!

How it all began...

An envelope from Mühlbach Monastery

The impetus for reviving the monastery pharmacy came from an envelope containing old recipes from the estate of a fellow nun from Mühlbach Monastery. It contained all sorts of writings, letters, and recipes – a veritable treasure trove of knowledge. Thus, the idea of ​​preserving the monastery's knowledge for the present day was born, and the development of ointments, tinctures, and natural cosmetics based on ancient, mysterious monastery recipes began.

What happened to the secret recipes?

We began with the Mühlbach Monastery Ointment to revive the ancient healing knowledge from South Tyrolean monasteries and then continued on our path step by step.

Today, more than 20 products later, we are here with a wonderful range of products that help you get healthy, stay healthy and feel good all around.

Together with our pharmacist, we are working to adapt the ancient recipes to today's needs in order to get the best from nature for our health.

The products are manufactured in a laboratory near Merano (South Tyrol). We focus on regionality, sustainability, and the highest organic quality when it comes to the ingredients used in our natural cosmetics and natural remedies.
